Tracing Resistance, Memory, and Legacy
Where She Stood is a research-driven map tracing the overlooked lives of Asian women who resisted World War II—and those who carried its memory forward. Their defiance took many forms: smuggling aid through jungle paths, standing in protest decades later, or testifying so history could not forget. This project repositions each woman not just in time, but in place—bringing their stories back to the ground they stood on.
